We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join our expanding Finance team to provide accounting support to our Property directorate.

You will be joining a friendly collaborative team and will support the Finance Business Partner and budget holders across our Property directorate to provide an effective, value for money service.
This is a varied role where you will provide accounting support to the Finance Business Partner such as journal posting, transaction matching and management of purchase to pay transactions. You will also assist with producing accurate accounting information for management and statutory accounts including variance notes for the Group and Platform Property Care.
Some of the things we are looking for:
AAT level 3 (or equivalent)
At least one years’ experience in accounting in a large and complex organisation with substantial budgets
Experience of providing accounting information to challenging deadlines
Experience of interpreting information, carrying out research, analysing complex data, appraising performance and managing risk
Well-developed understanding of delivering an excellent customer-based service in a complex organisation with both social and commercial activities
Ability to establish strong, sustained working relationships based on respect and effective negotiation and influencing skills
Ability to convey thoughts and express ideas effectively verbally or written in individual or group situations
While this role is home based, you should have the ability to travel to Group offices and other locations as required. Our Group offices are located at Birmingham Business Park Solihull and Central Park, Worcester.
