Job description
We are a friendly supportive GP surgery looking for an enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to assist the GPs and Practice Nurse Team in the delivery of care to our practice population.
Duties will include:
- Dressing/Wound Care
- Assisting the clinical team with clinical tasks e.g minor surgery and IUCD procedures
- ECG recording
- Blood pressure monitoring
- B12 and Shingles Injections
- Urine sample anlysis
- Diabetic foot checks
- Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording
- Sterilising, cleansing and maintenance of surgical equipment
- Processing and management of laboratory samples
- Chaperoning
Ideally the candidate will have experience in a primary care setting however for the right candidate full training will be provided.
This is a part time position between 18 to 20 hours a week, salary is negotiable depending on experience, five week holiday entitlement, NHS pension and on-going training will be provided.
