Job Summary:

Assumes a supportive role and has responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient.
Promotes the optimal health, wellbeing and safety of the patient in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the delegation of medical services.
Demonstrates personal accountability for relationship‐based care, organizational mission, and core values.

What You Bring/Job Requirements:

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

Successful completion of all Medical Assistant Core Skills, as well as additional competencies which are specialty specific, as defined within the Scope of Practice for CHPG Medical Assistants.
Trade/Technical School, Medical Assisting Preferred
Trade/Technical School, EMT Training Preferred
Certified or Registered Medical Assistant from recognized program preferred
One year experience as a Medical Assistant or as an EMT preferred. Associates who have completed EMT training will need to complete required courses on pharmacology, provided by Centura Health Physician Group (CHPG) within 90 days.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers required
High School diploma required

Physical Requirements: Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Pay Range:

$20.00 - $28.51
