Live-in Care Assistants may also provide respite for clients who have been in hospital or deteriorated slightly and feel they need Live-In support for a short period until they recover.

The tasks a Live-in Care Assistant will undertake:
- Assisting clients with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, bathing, and toileting.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed linen.
- Assist in the safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of clients.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, shopping trips etc.
- Observe, monitor, and record clients physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to the office.
- Support with medication.
- Assisting clients with meal preparation/fluids.
- Support clients with social activities, also companionship
- Help clients to live independently
- Provide companionship, support, and share activities with clients
- Professional care and support in your client’s home
- Household duties to support your client at home
