Medical Affairs Executive, General Medicines
This position is a chance for medical affairs professionals to provide the UK General Medicines Medical team with project management & business planning support to enable successful delivery of the medical plan.
In conjunction with the Head of Gen Med Medical, the successful candidate will also act as the finance interface for the Team working with Finance partners to ensure budgetary expectations are delivered and support the delivery of the Medical Affairs plan such as, but not limited to, Advisory Boards, Educational Meetings, SE content development and medical healthcare solution activities.
In this role you will
- In accordance with SE, ABAC & ABPI requirements, act as point of contact for respiratory in procurement discussions, tenders from vendors and setting up of master service agreements for new vendors and raising POs.
- Working in close liaison with the Therapeutic Area Medical Director, project manage the logistics of the Medical Affairs Plan.
- Scheduling and chairing of respiratory team meetings including the production of IPO’s, and maintenance of action, decision logs & circulation of minutes.
- Playing a critical role in the tracking completion of actions arising from FDA and the Gen Med Medical Meetings.
- Provide essential cross cover across all therapeutic areas as required.
- Tracking finance spend in close connection with finance business partners, business owners and asset leads
- Owning Veeva access processing for new signatories
- Managing Content Lab approval flow for materials and Localising Global training decks as appropriate through Content Lab approval
- Facilitate the process for the appropriate attendance at medical conferences and congresses in accordance with GSK policy.
- Create and manage delivery of Project plan for the PRISM outsourcing project (including scheduling of weekly meeting, feedback to internal stakeholders, contract amendments etc).

- Life sciences degree (BSc, MSc) or equivalent industry level experience
- Knowledge of medical and scientific activities according to the principles of SE policy and practices, ABAC legislation and the ABPI Code
- An understanding of medical and scientific terms
- Proven track record of working effectively across a wide functional and hierarchical matrix to find acceptable, mutually agreeable solutions.
- Strong IT and planning skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Proactive, self motivated, self-reliant.
- Basic financial understanding
