About the team and the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Junior Broadcast IT Engineer to join our team on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in IT support and a keen interest in broadcast media workflows and systems. As a member of the Media Technology Team, you will play a critical role in supporting and maintaining our broadcast systems and infrastructure, ensuring that our broadcasts are delivered seamlessly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support for broadcast systems and infrastructure.
Troubleshoot issues with broadcast hardware and software.
Liaise with / escalate issues to 3rd party vendor support to troubleshoot and resolve.
Assist with the maintenance of file-based media workflows and systems.
Monitor system performance and identify potential issues.
Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of broadcast equipment.
Work collaboratively with the broadcast engineering team to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
Work simultaneously across multiple priorities and keep good communication lines with business users.
Document and maintain accurate records of system configurations and changes.
Remain on top of the latest technologies and industry trends related to broadcast systems and infrastructure.
Work with finance to raise all PO’s for the technology team and match invoices as they come into the queue to ensure that technology bills are paid on time.
Document all work in Fresh Service – by promptly resolving tickets to meet defined service level targets, and logging them through the Fresh Service system, to ensure issues are tracked to provide actionable data to management.

Essential Knowledge / Skills
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or the equivalent in working industry experience
Strong understanding of IT support fundamentals
Knowledge of file-based media workflows and systems
Experience with broadcast hardware and software
Ability to prioritise requests from the business
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required
