The YMCA of Three Rivers is one of the community’s largest non-profit organizations. We are dedicated to the enrichment of our communities through the development of people and families. We provide licenced childcare, swimming lessons, youth & preschool programs and adult fitness programs to name a few. We create a sense of belonging by helping children and adults cultivate authentic and caring relationships in a safe and nurturing space. This is where you come in!
What you will do…
In this role you will be part of a vibrant team that supports the health and wellness of our communities through fitness, personal training, aquatic leadership, health management, and more! Working closely with our marketing and communications team, you will be responsible for applying design principles throughout a process including planning/storyboarding, setting up sets and shots, and editing/producing photo and video content related to health and fitness. You will have an opportunity to travel to different facilities and connect with other communities.
What you will bring…
Ability to execute industry standards for creating content that is accessible to a wide variety of audiences- Familiarity with video and audio recording tools
- Experience using editing software to compose videos, apply basic motion graphics and animation (Premiere Pro, iMovie, or similar)
This position requires your willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends and the ability to travel to different YMCA locations across Guelph, and Waterloo Region. A proven track record of interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with staff, volunteers and clients. An acceptable police record check will also be required upon hire.

This position is funded by Canada Summer Jobs. Please note that the applicant must meet the below criteria in order to be considered for the position.
- The applicant must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment.
- The applicant must be a Canadian Citizen, a Permanent Resident or a Refugee under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
