ROLE
South Mill Arts is a premier arts venue offering theatre, cinema and museum. You will be working in a small dynamic marketing team delivering marketing activities across all areas of the business, promoting the venue to its full potential.
Hours of work: Part Time (up to 24 hours)
Will include occasional weekend and evening work.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking individual with a good eye for detail and an interest and knowledge in digital marketing, specifically social media. This role may be suited to someone looking for their first marketing post and wanting to learn and gain experience in marketing.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- To lead on show marketing, from on-sale through to post show feedback.
- Undertake audience development work and strategies for engaging audiences via print and online content.
- To assist on design of printed and online marketing materials (posters, emails, flyers etc.)
- To devise and deliver digital marketing initiatives including producing and writing content for social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Twitter, TikTok and YouTube).
- To update website content, including regular updates. and checking performance through Google Analytics
- Distribution of marketing materials
- Produce concise reporting on customer trends to include sales patterns and demographics.
- To monitor box office income targets against marketing activities.
- To draft copy for promotional events and activities.
- Liaise with Ops Director to ensure day to day compliance with the GDPR and DPA legislation
- To carry out other tasks as requested from time to time.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION AND SKILLS
- Excellent ICT skills:-
o Experience of data entry and familiarity with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access.
o Experienced in using Adobe CC (Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator), MailChimp and Google Analytics.
o Knowledge of WordPress.
o Good social media management skills
- Good knowledge and awareness of the latest trends in digital marketing
- Strong attention to detail, excellent administration skills.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently develop working relationships within the team at South Mill Arts and with external organisations.
- Basic photography and/or videography skills
DESIRABLE
- Experience of working in a similar environment to South Mill Arts.
- Knowledge of TicketSolve, sales and box office related activities.
- Able to take initiative but still be part of a creative team.
- Holder of a clean UK driving licence.
