MLB is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Media Planner to join our Strategic Planning team. As a Media Planner, you will play a crucial role in creating effective advertising solutions for our clients. You will collaborate closely with the sales team, internal stakeholders, and clients/agencies to develop strategic proposals to maximize revenue. Your expertise in media planning and your ability to analyze industry trends will contribute to the success of our advertising campaigns.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Work closely with the sales team to create responses to Request for Proposal (RFP) requests. Provide accurate placement recommendations and rates that address the challenges outlined in the RFP.
- Answer questions from Strategic Planning, Sales, and clients/agencies throughout the pre-sales process. Assist with proposal revisions and rate negotiations to ensure client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish rates for new products. Manage yield and optimize the sell-through of all advertising solutions.
- Analyze traffic and rating trends during the planning phase to inform decision-making and enhance campaign effectiveness.
- Stay current with industry trends and report changes to the team. Provide insights and recommendations on emerging media opportunities and innovations.
- Create accurate, creative, and strategic media plans that align with client expectations and maximize revenue. Deliver plans in a timely manner.
- Reconcile data between different systems to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Work with ad tech and finance teams to optimize Adbook administrative items and enter media plans with the most optimal allocation of inventory.
- Proactively build strategic proposals in Broadway and adjust house mixes to meet client objectives and revenue goals.
Per the NYC pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is $60,000 to $75,000.
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills and any other factors Major League Baseball (MLB) considers relevant to the hiring decision.
