About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic therapist to come and to join the team as we expand our services providing support on the Inpatient unit, within the Community and as part of our face to face and virtual Living Well Service.
Your New Role
You will be joining a team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Complementary Therapists and Therapy Technicians in providing a holistic service including:
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate treatment programmes for patients with a view to maintaining and/or improving their present level of function.
- Involve patients in goals and treatment proposals. To gain valid informed consent. To work within the legal framework with patients who lack capacity for informed consent.
- Be responsible for own time management and the prioritisation of caseload.
- Develop comprehensive discharge plans and work with relevant professionals to arrange on-going support as needed.
- Support the delivery of assessments and therapeutic groups for the Living Well Service.
To succeed in this role
You will need to hold a recognized qualification in Physiotherapy and HCPC registration with clinical experience in a range of clinical areas i.e., general medical, oncology, neurology, respiratory, orthopaedic, elderly care etc. Experience of working in palliative care and having previously worked in in the community setting, including as a lone worker would be advantageous but not essential.
