Summary of Role:

We are looking for a Media Developer with experience of Video and media design skills for creating content video and animation content. You will be responsible for the development of creative interactive solutions and visual concepts to support training within a military environment.

The Media Developer reports to the Media Services Supervisor for the delivery of high-quality interactive content, in line with quality standards and contractual requirements. You will be expected to manage your media projects through design phases for discovery, storyboards, attending design reviews and publishing content for remote and classroom delivery.

Main Duties:

Main duties include:

  • Taking design briefs from customers and producing fit for purpose interactive video content through storyboard development, that’s delivered to project timelines, resources, and budget.
  • Identification and implementation of best practice in all areas of media development for media projects. Use complimentary software to enhance the production of the content.
  • Support the Graphic Design output of the establishments, including large and small format.
  • Maintain and adhere to internal quality processes, asset management of electronic files, admin systems and document management control.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, regulations, and procedures.
  • Ensure MOD & Raytheon Environmental Health Safety (EHS) policies and quality procedures are always implemented and complied with.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Compliance with MoD policies, Books of Reference (BR), Joint Services Publication’s (JSP) and the Defence Learning Environment (DLE)
  • Carry out any other appropriate tasks that may be required to support the contracted media output.
  • Employees are responsible for their own Health and Safety and that of work colleagues and customers.
  • The nature of RN training requires a high degree of flexibility for all Raytheon staff; there may be a requirement for travel between contract delivery sites within the UK.
  • Any other duties required to complete the Training Media Design Service.

Candidate Requirements:

Essential:

The Media Developer should have a thorough knowledge and experience of media development and supporting software for creating engaging and immersive content.

The Media Developer will have:

  • Relevant experience in the Media Development industry for creating interactive video content.
  • Experience of operating professional video equipment, GoPro and 360o cameras and editing content using Premiere,
  • Consolidated experience of setting up sets for video production
  • Experience of filming both indoors and on location, and willing to travel to establishment sites and dockyards.
  • Consolidated, animation and After Effects software skills for enhancing media content.
  • Consolidated experience of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office based software on a PC based system.
  • Proven experience in the delivery of video content
  • Adherence to quality standards and procedures.
