About the role
We are looking for a Brand Media Manager to join our growing Marketing team here at Matalan Head Office. You will play a key role in the planning & delivery of ATL & branded Digital media alongside any Paid Partnerships for Matalan, working to omni-channel KPIs. You will work alongside a Digital Performance Manager in the development & optimisation of the media strategies in line with business requirements & market changes . Within Paid Partnerships you will be responsible for the strategic use of media partners & the onboarding of 3rd party brands that require media support. The role will require you to work closely with trading teams, retail teams & marketing functions.
Key Responsibilities -
- Responsible for the optimisation, coordination, booking & delivery of ATL & upper funnel digital media via the agency.
- Responsible for management of the National Advertising & Paid Partnership budget lines.
- Utilise & optimise the media critical paths to ensure changes are made in sufficient time & deadlines adhered to across all ATL medias.
- Responsible for briefing & production across ATL & upper funnel digital media to deliver the most cost-efficient plans for Matalan.
- Accountable for the use of econometric data, brand equity models & sales data to make decisions, optimise campaigns & plan future strategies across ATL, upper funnel digital & Paid Partnerships.
- Understand brand performance results & how the contents of our media influences the overall performance of the media booked.
- Responsible for the delivery of competitor analysis to help the business understand our market.
- Accountable for negotiating maximum ‘added value’ activity with media agency / joint ventures & partnerships.
- Responsible for the Marketing onboarding of 3rd party suppliers; including negotiating their Marketing packages.
- Responsible for the management & usage of strategic paid partnerships.
- Accountable for the management of our Marketing IP program.
About You
- Should have +2 years in a similar role.
- Should have experience of the omni channel retail environment.
- Should be a subject matter expert with a passion for Marketing.
- Able to apply strategic & commercial thinking to campaigns, both on & offline.
- IT literate with knowledge and experience of all Microsoft Office especially Excel.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence key business stakeholders.
- Excellent planning and organisation skills.
- Highly driven and determined with a proactive approach.
- Able to develop self – taking a proactive approach to learning & others around them.
- Able to work as part of a large commercial team.
