Based at our Garforth, Leeds Head Office, a vacancy has arisen for a Media and Communications Manager, leading our in-house publicity, media, and communications team.
Reporting to the Managing Director, this fast-paced, exciting position principally involves managing, contributing to, and participating in the overall operation and creative thrust of The Company’s web, social media, PR, media and content creation, communications, publications, packaging and graphic design and exhibitions activities.
The successful candidate will have an excellent command of English and the ability to excel in the written word, be an exceptionally well organised, self-motivated confident, individual with strong interpersonal skills, the ability to inspire, lead, manage and motivate creative people, have a demonstrated ability to analyse, problem solve and produce solutions, complete multiple tasks concurrently and deliver exceptional quality results, whilst remaining calm under pressure.
Direct personal experience and category knowledge of musical instruments and the Company’s other products would be a distinct advantage.
Essential attributes include significant experience in a similar role managing all aspects of media and communications, working collaboratively across departments, with a practical understanding of the integration of back office ERP and customer facing e-Commerce platforms, a thorough knowledge and hands on experience of various web platforms, browsers, Content Management Systems, HTML, XHTML, CSS design, cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility, and a clear understanding of SEO, PPC and user experience principles
Style, flair, individualism, drive, energy, and a determination to elevate the image and visibility of the Company and its brands will be as important as any of the technical attributes required.
