As an Apprentice Engineer, you will be working alongside our experienced engineering team that will guide you through our manufacturing process and support you in gaining knowledge and practical experience of the day-to-day operations in a high-speed can manufacturing site.
We will give you insight into cutting-edge manufacturing technologies and help you gain skills that are in high demand within the industry and beyond.
What’s ahead of you?
- You will learn on the job in the brand-new cutting-edge manufacturing facility
- Work alongside our experienced and engaging Engineers and Electricians, where you will have a chance to investigate ways of improving plant productivity through teamwork and problem solving
- Study towards completing a level 3 Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Apprenticeship
- Spend time away at Midland Group Training Services (MGTS) in Coventry over the course of the four years. That means commuting to Coventry or staying away from home in accommodation
Whilst at MGTS for the first year of the apprenticeship you will spend time learning and developing the following skills:
- Maintaining Electrical Equipment
- Mechanical Maintenance
- Electrical Wiring & testing
- Wiring & testing PLC Systems
- Maintaining Fluid power systems
- MAG welding

Entry requirements
We are seeking applications from candidates who have or are predicted to gain 3 GCSEs which should include Maths at grade 6 or above and English & Science at grade 5 or above.
