We have an opportunity for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join us at our Bradford, West Yorkshire manufacturing site. As a Project Engineer you will play an integral part in the delivery of capital or expensed projects up to a value of £1m.
Other key duties and responsibilities will include;
· Take a lead mechanical engineer role within a larger project. Provide technical expertise to the project team, covering civil, structural, piping, Fabricated Equipment and Machinery.
· Manage/participate in projects to deliver to the defined KPIs for safety, schedule, budget and scope.
· Ensure compliance with site standards, procedures and regulatory requirements.
· Provide support to Operations and Maintenance on request.
· Identify and develop local guidelines where required. Ensure compliance is maintained within the Project Engineering team. Review procedures, update and train local team. Carryout audits on local procedures
Responsibilities in Responsible Care Procedures;
· Management of Change - Can take the role of Change Co-ordinator for a mechanical change;
· Design and Verification of Relief Devices - Generate Technical Data Sheets for all Mechanical Safety Device (RST Forms), Review Isometrics for inlet and outlet pipework on Mechanical Safety Devices, Check Supplier quotations against Design specification sheet
· Atex Procedure - Ensure CE/UKCA marking and documentation for Mechanical Equipment Procured for installation in an ATEX area;
· Take on designer responsibilities,
· Contractor Management CDM Procedure - Take on designer responsibilities,
· Management of Maintenance - Ensure that all plant designs (projects and MOC) use correct design basis and materials of construction in compliance with site engineering procedures. Ensure that all plant designs (projects and MOC) take account of known degradation mechanisms.
· Equipment specification sheets and engineering drawings show that plant has been designed in compliance with engineering procedures.
· New plant design drawings take account of known degradation mechanisms.
· Project records / emails show that degradation mechanisms have been considered
The Individual
· Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent,
· Experience gained working in a project environment in the manufacturing industry would be a benefit.
· Microsoft Word, excel, power point, Outlook.
