Morrison Water Services is recruiting for a MEICA Mechanical Project Engineer to work on our Caledonia Water Alliance contract in Stepps. Glasgow.
Caledonia Water Alliance is a Joint Venture alliance between Aecom and Morrison Water Services. Supporting the delivery of Scottish Water's SR21 Capital Investment programme. Who are responsible for the delivery of a £700M water and wastewater infrastructure programme over a 6 year alliance framework.
As a/the Mechanical Project Engineer you will be part of our MEICA Team who are responsible for the technical solutions for the mechanical element of CWA projects. .
As the Mechanical Project Engineer you will be responsibile for Working alongside the CWA Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) department and other members of the project team. Alongside leadership to drive the successful delivery of projects to the highest standards. You will manage the delivery of the mechanical element of MEICA projects delivery. Ensuring that you stick to an agreed time, cost & quality requirements to assist the project delivery team and CWA management team. You will provide assistance to the site technical delivery element of capital projects from conception, through design and procurement, to final handover. Ensuring that all technical deliverables are achieved. In accordance with current regulations and procedures.
You will also be responsible for providing technical interpretation of technical drawings and work packages to provide accurate estimates from sub-contractors. Providing knowledge to the CWA design function regarding installation issues and sub-contract evaluations. You will need to carry out sub-contractor liaison during the project target and delivery pricing periods. Issuing quotation request packages in support of the commercial and design teams. In order to determine the most suitable and cost effective MEICA equipment and sub-contractor delivery function. You will work with all other MEICA delivery team personnel to compile, update, manage and submit project specific documentation pertaining to the different project phases. Defect and snagging lists, test documentation, Inspection and Test Plans, Training Plans, Asset data information, red line drawing and “as built” updates. This is to include taking a lead role in producing and managing project documentation where required.
