Job Summary：The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will provide Mechanical and Systems Engineering support for Newberry products in the chiller portfolio. This individual will support and lead a diverse mixture of sustaining, custom order and new product development projects by applying Engineering principles and technical rigor to develop solutions that satisfy product requirements, cost, quality and schedule.

Work arrangement: Online

Responsibilities:

• Generate, evaluate, analyze and develop design concepts for mechanical components and assemblies to meet new product requirements provided by Product Management.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of engineering designs, drawings, documentation and Bill of Materials.
• Maintain orderly project records. Analyze, condense and present data results and recommendations.
• Develop and lead project plans, prioritize tasks, and write clear technical requirements in collaboration with product development teams and suppliers, and present materials in formal and informal environments.
• Provide guidance and leadership to lab technicians and other team members.
• Author lab test plans, conduct testing, analyze and interpret results and execute design updates based on the results.
• Domestic and international travel (up to 10%) may be required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5-7 years experience in engineering or product development is required.
• Creo proficiency required
• Expertise in PLM system management - Windchill.
• Knowledge of refrigeration system technologies.

Key Competencies:

• Understanding and experience with chiller applications and/or HVAC a plus
• Ability to quickly and efficiently understand, condense, and organize information to make informed engineering decisions.
• Self-motivated with strong collaboration skills. Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams spread across multiple geographical regions.
• Strong project planning / management and organizational skills.

Pay Range: $80,000 - $110,000
