Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
We are working with a prestigious client based in Chorley who have been established for over 40 years now. They specialise in bespoke solutions, and also recognise the benefits of utilising and integrating existing technologies. They are specialists in their area and predominately supply to Civil and Defence Nuclear industry. We are currently working with this amazing organisation and looking for highly experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their business.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years engineering background
- Broad based engineering experience in design
- Over 5 years experience in materials and mechanical handling techniques
- Excellent experience and knowledge of drawing principles and standards
- Over 5 years experience of 3D CAD
- Must have the ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
- British National and SC clearance (or ability to acquire) is a prerequisite
The successful Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for producing concept, scheme and detail designs for the organisation. The engineer will work within a multi-discipline design team and be responsible for undertaking the design of equipment as delegated by the Principal Engineer or Engineering Manager.
