Mechanical Rides Engineer
Location: Legoland Windsor, SL4 4AY
Hours: Shift patterns (Early Shift & Late Shift) will be discussed at interview
Salary: up to £42,000 + bonus, pension, life assurance, holiday and Merlin Magic Pass – 20 free tickets to our attractions rising to 40 after a year’s service

We are recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Rides Maintenance Team at the UK’s favourite children’s theme park; LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort. The LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is the ultimate destination for families with children aged 2-12. The Resort is home to two awesome LEGO themed Hotels and a host of rides, shows and attractions built around the iconic LEGO® brick. This role is based at the Windsor theme park, located in 150 acres of beautiful parkland.
The Mechanical Rides Engineer will form part of our rides maintenance team with the responsibility of completing a variety of planned (PPM’s) and reactive maintenance across our rides and attractions.

About the role of Mechanical Engineer:
To work as an operational engineer carrying out the Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule, safety checks and ride start up procedures

To provide an effective breakdown service that will facilitate excellent ride availability and safety for our guests and staff

To complete documentation relating to statutory safety checks and maintenance work undertaken on rides, equipment and facilities as described in departmental procedures and HSE guidance (HSG175)
- To carry out the winter strip programme in order to facilitate a thorough annual inspection of our amusement devices, all in order to obtain a Declaration of Conformity (DOC) to the agreed deadlines
We are looking for the following skills and experience:
Qualified to a City & Guild, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent within a Mechanical Engineering / Technician discipline

Experience of working within a heavy industrial / automated environment such as; FMCG, Manufacturing, Logistics, Airport or Theme Park

Experience of PPM Systems of Work

Fault Finding/Diagnostics
- Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems
