WHAT TO EXPECT
Join a team of next generation thinkers, here at JLR! As a Plant Engineer, you will work as part of the maintenance operations final assembly team to provide engineering support to maximise production efficiencies, maintain all associated plant equipment, and be responsible for first line response to requests / issues with equipment / processes.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
As a Plant Engineer, your will work as part of the maintenance team to ensure a safe and efficient production performance is delivered within the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, and Environment framework. You will be in involved in the analysis of facility data to investigate and improve the performance and efficiency throughout the production system. This will be carried out by integrating closely with other manufacturing departments, manage the implementation of all facility modifications and ensure all related documentation is updated accurately and be a key stakeholder and customer for the upfront manufacturing teams during the install on new model facilities throughout the final assembly area.
You will provide technical expertise to team problem solving activities to accurately identify root cause, corrective, and preventative actions, contribute to environmental initiatives to maintain standards as required and comply to Health and Safety procedures by ensuring all safety metrics are achieved, including identifying safety hazards and risks and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential:
Previous experience in a similar role in maintenance operations in ManufacturingTechnical (mechanical and electrical) automotive engineering skills gained in Manufacturing
Detailed knowledge of Mechanical Systems
Relevant manufacturing degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Microsoft package elements Power Point, Excel, Outlook & Teams.
Experience in dealing with vehicle fluid filling equipment. For example, brake fluid fill, coolant fill, or screen wash filling.
Demonstrable experience in the application of a logical approach to Problem Solving.
Knowledge of health and safety processes.
Desirable:
Experience of Environmental controls and practicesKnowledge of Quality Operating Systems procedures & deliverables
Understanding and Application of Lean Tools and Techniques
Knowledge of PLC / Electrical Control
