We have a fantastic opportunity available at Bouygues Energies & Services for a Mechanical Engineering Graduate to join our Hinkley Point C team as a Work Package Engineer. The role will be based from our Bristol office in Bradley Stoke, supporting the Hinkley project.
It’s a very exciting time to be joining Bouygues - We have been awarded a Turn-key EPC contract for the Hinkley Point C new build nuclear power plant Emergency Diesel Generators. You would have the opportunity to work alongside a group of very dedicated individuals within our Technical team and be able to contribute to the work that we are carrying out on this innovative project.
The Role:
- You would be reporting into our Process & Mechanical Design Lead, and partaking in engineering review of auxiliary process and mechanical design deliverables.
- Supporting with project management activities on the Auxiliary Design & Equipment Work Package as defined in the organisation memorandum.
- Reviewing the technical deliverables issued by the Valve subcontractor.
- Assisting with the administration of the technical changes.
- Assisting in monitoring, reviewing and preparing proposed responses to NNB General Communications and claims in your area of responsibility, in coordination with the Work Package Lead.
- Supporting in the maintenance of the technical configuration.
What you`ll need:
- Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
- Knowledge of mechanical process design and mechanical equipment
- A genuine desire to work in the nuclear industry
- Fluency in English and ability to work with international subcontractors
- Good organisation and strong attention to detail
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of diesel power generation
- Project engineering or project management experience (or an interest in gaining these skills)
