The ideal candidate will be an Electro - Mechanical engineer with experience designing and testing plastic parts, electric and electronic components, assemblies and complete products including pool systems and equipment. This engineer will work as a key member within an engineering team to improve the value of Fluidra products (pumps, filters, valves, automatic pool cleaners and equipment to maintain the water) for the swimming pool industry with particular focus on cost reduction and quality improvement projects. Additionally, you will:
- Work with VI Engineering Manager to develop concepts for design and process improvement efficiencies to improve the overall value of Fluidra products.
- Work with VI Engineering Manager to perform purposeful product teardowns, supplier assessment and manufacturing/sourcing footprint opportunities in the Fluidra supply chain.
- Become the key member of the Value Engineering team for electronics and power supply components
- Design parts and assemblies using SolidWorks CAD software.
- Analyze part designs using sound engineering principles, FEA software and prototypes.
- Work with suppliers to ensure project goals are met and to resolve any engineering issues that arise.
- Develop and document test plans and Engineering Changes.
- Analyze all Fluidra products to understand how they work and how the different functions can be done in a simpler and more cost-effective way
- 7 or more years of electrical or electro-mechanical engineering experience focusing on new product development of consumer products.
- Highly proficient electro-mechanical design skills using SolidWorks CAD software.
- Extensive knowledge of various types of electronic and electro-mechanical components and their use in product designs.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes to include PCBA processes, various electro-mechanical assemblies, plastic injection molding, sheet metal and tooling.
- Exceptional root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Very good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven track record of accomplished projects with increasing responsibilities.
- A background in pool systems equipment is a plus.
- Design experience focusing on Value Analysis / Value Improvement of consumer products is also desirable.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical, Electronics or Electro-Mechanical Engineering

Expected salary range is $100,000 - $130,000. Fluidra offers a comprehensive total rewards / benefits program that includes base salary, annual bonus based on performance of individual and company objectives, competitive 401K matching, paid vacation and sick time, full range of health benefits, educational assistance, etc. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience and location.
