Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Clayton, NC

Pay Range: $50,000 - $60,000

Position’s Contributions to Work Group: The primary purpose of this position is to support the Product Support team with quality-related issues. The Mechanical Engineer will provide expertise, handle information requests, and facilitate the resolution of production or product problems reported by both internal and external customers. This role involves investigating issues, analyzing information, and collaborating with teams to resolve quality problems.

Typical Day: The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for processing internal and external data to support product improvement and reliability. This includes working closely with team members from various functional areas to define issues, conduct root cause investigations, and implement solutions. The position will collaborate with the extended team and other support groups, acting on the direction established by the product support team. The primary customers are external individuals who have experienced issues with production machines. The successful candidate will carefully evaluate claims and claims stories on a frequent basis.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Manufacturing, with a strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the field is preferred.
  • Desired: Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment or in the quality field.

Skills Required:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent computer skills.
  • Proficiency in advanced computer applications such as Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) to effectively collaborate with employees and customers at all levels, including leadership and management personnel.

Work Schedule:

  • Some flexibility regarding hours (+/- 1 hour).
  • This position requires in-office presence for three days per week.
