Job Duties and Responsibilities
Your challenges
- Lead responses to customer RFI/RFQ for new product development
- Evaluate customer engineering requirements and propose architectural solutions to meet them
- Stay informed on new products from our competitors, as well as on the regulatory requirements
- Lead customer proposal meetings, as well as internal gate reviews for new business approval
- Rapidly iterate through component, assembly designs in collaboration with other design teams (eMotor and Axle) and propose high level design solutions to meet customer package constraints
- 1D, 3D System and component simulations for application analysis and component sizing evaluating thermal, structural, EMC and NVH constraints
- Collaborate with prototype, production manufacturing, benchmarking teams and incorporate new/unique features into design roadmap
- Support mechanical draftsmen in the production of manufacturing drawings.
- Participate in and facilitate component and product design reviews.
- Track design activities and deliverables for a given product.
- Represent the company as a technical expert during meetings with customers.
