Job description
Summary
The ideal candidate will provide technical expertise to the enhancement of manufacturing capabilities and processes to produce quality products at the most competitive price. Duties will also include the development of mechanical design and redesign, as well as facility lay-out. Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Develop plans to successfully complete the projects in a timely and cost-effective manner by assuring all required information from customers, engineering, tooling, quality and production are considered in the planning stages.
- Maintain process parameters and adjust as required.
- Assist in the cost estimating and quoting of new and/or revised products by initiating the quote according to specifications, determining process methods, the equipment required and optimum rates.
- Responsible for mechanical design and redesign, including equipment and machinery.
- Lead in the identification and implementation of effective solutions that will improve the manufacturing process and capabilities. Develop and redesign facility layouts in support of this objective. Promote continuous process improvements.
