We are currently hiring an **Electro-Mechanical
Engineer** for our sunny Irvine, California site. A Day in the Life:
As a Technical Steward, you are responsible for unleashing the full potential of our people and culture while simultaneously achieving timely and cost-effective manufacturing of high-quality medical devices. You will serve as the Subject Matter Expert within MS&T for the stated Engineering Discipline. The Technical Steward supports lifecycle management of current, new, and future products. This position will work closely with R&D, Procurement, Technical Service, Production lines, and QA to maintain current product lines and develop next-generation world-class manufacturing processes, systems, fixtures, and products.
- Support End of Life (EOL) component changes, from simple resistor changes to major assembly changes to assure continuous uneventful production is maintained.
- Assure component changes are properly assessed to assure the change is supported by objective evidence and maintains compliance with product specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Support or lead continuous improvement projects to support Operational Excellence activities.
- Support Design Reviews for Tech-Transfer and R&D projects.
- Provide second line technical/scientific process support.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs.; Assoc.+6 yrs.; M.S.+0 yrs)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
- 2 Years of Relevant Experience
- Work hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
