Actalent is hiring an Automotive Engineer with experience in an automotive product development environment in our Performance and Emissions group. You will be testing large-scale vehicles in a research & development environment.
The objective of this group is to develop, validate, certify, and maintain engine fuel maps that meet regulatory requirements contained within emissions and onboard diagnostics (OBD) legislation while optimizing fuel efficiency and balancing a broad perspective of boundary conditions and engine performance criteria. To be considered you must have experience within a test cell or test engineer experience, experience with data loggers, and experience with analyzing data in an automotive setting.
Job Responsibilities:
- The person in this role will assist with program management. Align with the procurement team in the engineering lab for tracking parts to India/Germany and Brazil. Update/inform the assigned engineers accordingly.
- Work closely with the procurement team for dress-up parts updates and the p/o's for all the orders to suppliers well in advance. Look in the timeline and request for p/o's request in advance.
- Demand delivery for prototype's to be reviewed regularly
- Check with R&D engineers from Brazil/Germany/India for the release dates and any risk/issues to meet the deadlines.
- This requires a detail-oriented candidate that can manage many applications and communicate effectively to a larger organization.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Mehanical / Mechatronics / Electrical / Electronics Engineering
- Knowledge of diesel engine and after-treatment operation and emissions
- Strong fundamentals in engineering thermodynamics
- Ability to communicate and maintain professional and social interaction in a multi-cultural environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
