This company specialise in the design and manufacture of zero-emission aircraft and are currently flying the world's largest hydrogen-electric aircraft. They have been rewarded by the UK Prime Minister, being invited as a member to the UK Jet Zero Council. They are focused on delivering a solution for a clean aviation ecosystem.
In this role, you will be assisting in developing and documenting fuel cell system requirements, including interface and performance requirements. You will be designing new mechanical parts, assemblies and installations alongside stress/functional analyses.
The ideal Mechanical Design Engineer will have a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant field. You will have at least five years of design engineering experience in a mechanical industry alongside having the knowledge of relevant production processes and materials (3D Printing, Sheet Metalwork, Electroplating, etc.) Ideally, you will have a good understanding and experience of Siemens NX or SolidWorks.
