Your role
End-to-end mechanical design and engineering of our robots using SolidWorks
Design calculation and validation
Designing test procedures to ensure systems meet strict standards
Optimising technical solutions and drive suggestions for continuous improvement in house
Work across teams and external suppliers to solve design and production problems
Be able to work without constant supervision
Taking simulation data and real world testing to advance system performance
Requirements
Experience with creating and maintaining CAD model libraries and drawings (ideally with SolidWorks)
Experience with maintaining designs throughout whole product lifecycle and through to manufacture
Experience with material selection for manufacturing
Strong communications skills and ability to give & receive feedback to propel technical decisions
Experience with modelling, simulating and detailing precision machined components,complex assemblies
It would be desirable if you also had experience with:
Working within the robotics or complex machinery industry
Failure analysis simulation experience
