Mechanical Design Engineer Remote
Job description
Introduction
Our client is a leading Engineering Consultancy who are supporting a client in with their Manual Handling equipment.
Our client requires an experienced mechanical design engineer to support post-CDR updates (using CREO) to electro-mechanical device, focusing on mechanical interfaces and cable routing.
This role may require occasional visits to client sites in the South East, which will be expensed.
Key responsibilities
- Reviewing designs post CDR and making suggestions and changes
- Creating and managing change review documents
- Using CREO for designing electro-mechanical devices
- Working on manual handling/cable routers/mechanical machine interface designs
Skills & experience
- 5+ years’ experience within a mechanical design role
- Familiarity with design for manual handling
- Experience in electro-mechanical design within Defence industry
- CREO experience
- Experience supporting design reviews and associated processes
- Management of design change documentation
