Job description
Carbon60 are currently looking for a Mechanical Assembly Fitter to join an experienced British manufacturer working within the land drainage, flood defence and sewage industry. This is a permanent position that provides amazing opportunities.
This Bedford based company are looking for a Mechanical Assembly Fitter to join their diverse and ever-growing team to play a key part in the company.
Tasks include:
- Working as part of a small team and being responsible for the assembly and output of completed pumps to meet customer delivery dates.
- Assemble various mechanical and electrical components working with engineering drawings and BOMS.
- Carry out stripping/ preparation and termination of various diameters of electrical cable also including testing.
- Record and accurately completion of dimensional and quality test paperwork, timesheets etc.
- Follow procedures and policies in accordance with the company HSEW.
- Use of overhead cranes and forklifts.
Requirements include:
- Experience working in a similar environment with medium to heavy mechanical engineering operations.
- Experience working with mechanical drawings.
- Overhead Crane User (training will be provided if required)
- Qualified Forklift User (training will be provided if required)
- Good communication skills, attention to detail and a team player.
