INTRODUCTION:
Ipeco Holdings Limited was founded in 1960. More than 50 years on it is still a privately owned UK company. We are engaged in the design, development, manufacture and test of niche products for the aerospace and defence industries. Principal products include aircraft crew seating, executive passenger seating, galley inserts, salt bath brazed chassis and electronic power management systems.
Ipeco operates across a wide range of market sectors and is always seeking new staff in a variety of disciplines - from machining and assembly to commercial, technical and administration. OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To build/assemble all levels from minor mechanical assemblies, riveted structures, major mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Assemble major riveted structures,
- Assemble major mechanical assemblies,
- Assemble minor mechanical assemblies,
- To carry out brazing of assemblies where applicable,
- To carry out riveting of assemblies,
- To carry out electrical sub-assembles,
- Applying velcro, dressing seats and packing ready for dispatch,
- Strip down and repair customer returned products,
- To read engineering drawings and assemble products to quality requirements,
- To carry out duties in a proper and efficient manner, act wholeheartedly in the interest of the Company and comply with Company rules and regulations,
- Responsible for ensuring a high standard of housekeeping is maintained,
- To support other team members with other tasks as and when necessary,
- To help create and maintain a safe working environment and observe the published Health and Safety procedures,
- To carry out other tasks where reasonable and relevant, when required.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to use hand tools, including rivet plyers/gun
- Ability to read engineering and wiring diagrams
- Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:
- GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) at grade C or above
- Apprenticeship served
- Assembly experience
- Experience in brazing assemblies
