As a Ford Vehicle Technician, you’ll be working for an experienced Service Leader, rectifying vehicle faults for our customers, whilst being fuelled by the opportunity to thrive in your career along the way. Working as a part of Ford, you’ll be getting underneath the bonnet of some of the most renowned cars on the market, every day. Since the Ford Motor Company was formed in 1903, from the launch of the classic Model T to the revolutionary manufacturing process pioneered by Henry Ford, onto the latest hybrid and electric models, the Ford brand has been synonymous with innovation. At the forefront of this innovation, you’ll be supported with the latest electric vehicle training, taking place at the Henry Ford Academy. Unrivalled in the industry, the Academy is equipped with the broadest range of state-of-the-art equipment, delivering bespoke Ford car and van education and technical training to the highest standards. Your extensive EV training will cover everything from the basic electric principles through to high electrical energy systems, installation of high voltage components, temperature control cell management, component evaluation and high voltage safety, supporting you to be the best you can be in your career with Pendragon.

What you’ll have the opportunity to be involved with:

  • Utilise technical knowledge to carry out repairs and maintenance on customer vehicles, including minor and major mechanical work
  • Complete major electrical and engine repair work
  • Meet and discuss the vehicle and repairs needed with the customer when necessary
  • Carry out road tests of customer vehicles after work has been carried out
  • Use advanced diagnostic equipment to fault find items relevant to the franchise brand
  • Complete Vehicle Health Checks (VHC), ensuring that the VHC video completion meets targets and exceeds all KPIs

  • Qualified by experience in post or to Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Confident to mentor and coach apprentices, and support less experienced team members
  • Equipped with a full UK driving licence
