About the position
As we enter another very exciting phase of growth for Violife Professional we are looking for exceptional Key Account Managers to join our Wholesale, Convenience team. You will be asked to demonstrate absolute resilience in finding solutions for complex situations resulting in successful outcomes in customer development.
This is an external customer facing role and success requires a detailed knowledge of and connection to the UKI foodservice (OOH) wholesale, convenience industry. Extensive experience in working with small and large wholesalers is essential. Candidates with a strong retail background where structured customer development experience has been gained, will also be considered. Our customers range from the traditional wholesale route to market, through small independent operators, supplying some of the leading foods brands on the high street. - Able to build engaging business plans with clear commercial rationale.
- Using data analytics to target your industry and able to stand up and present/defend in a concise, structure though engaging way.
- Full autonomy for commercial decision making within existing customer portfolio and new business including customer specific P&L responsibility.
- pipeline, passing on CPI in line with market, FX & raw material fluctuations as they occur.
- The drive to manage each new business opportunity end to end, to ensure an unrivalled experience of Upfield for the customer.
- Foster a culture of cross functional internal working - beyond the UK into Europe - experience, taking time to gain a deep understanding your colleagues needs, in order to achieve the common goal of a seamless experience for our customers by taking people on your journey.
So what does it take to be successful in this role?
After your relevant education you have gained industry connections to build an extensive & costed 3-year business development pipeline in the wholesale and convenience.
A very strong emphasis lies on A proven track record of excellent commercial, strategic & sales skills and beyond Competent in Excel and have strong numerical and analytical skills.
This amounts to being an experience negotiator who on the feet running finalizes the process by deriving insight from customer and industry data.
You will have a very positive attitude, are able to influence & convince and are able to see and seize opportunities when they present themselves. Self-starter, knows what needs to be done and how to make it happen at very fast pace.
