Job description
This is a unique opportunity to work with a diverse group of industry professionals in the newest porcelain tile plant in the United States. We started production in 2017 and operate 3 roller hearth kilns 24/7. We are located in Nashville TN, an area that is growing as an international travel hub, and includes a range of potential life balance activities.
Business is booming for the ceramic tile industry as it is experiencing rapid growth! The US market is capacity is struggling to meet consumer demand. This supports a non-volatile (stable) career path for those interested in this branch of whitewares.
The successful candidate would become a key staff member and assist porcelain tile manufacturing at an engineering level. Learning the materials, processes, and equipment will be necessary for contributing to continuous improvement.
Some duties will be routine in nature, but a significant portion of this position will be project-based.
Typical hours first shift Monday through Friday. 8 am – 4 pm. Overtime may be occasionally required depending on project goals and deadlines.
Some key aspects of the position would be (but is not limited to):
· Adhere to all safety rules and report any circumstances that are unsafe
· Project-oriented position with defined goals
· Experience with Microsoft Office
· Basic Ceramic Engineering Concepts
· Ceramic chemistry (XRF is a plus)
· DMAIC methodology or Six Sigma a plus
· Ability to participate in the design of experiments (DoEs)
· Clear and proactive communication with other team members
· Assist with ISO 9001 certification
· Potential for limited international travel
· Ability to learn and grow

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
