What are we looking for?

Candidates should be 18 years or over before the start date and have the right to live and work in England

For the apprenticeship program we prioritize applicants eligible to government funding for their apprenticeship and for this you need to:
  • Have lived in the UK or in the European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 years
  • Be a resident of the UK for the entire duration of the program
  • Not be registered to study on a UK government funded course ending June 2023 or later
  • Have 3 x GCSE’s at grade 4-9 (A-C) or above (or equivalent) including Maths and English

Please note, you will be required to evidence your qualifications. If you have gained qualifications outside of the UK you will be required to evidence that they are equivalent.

This Apprenticeship teaches you to work towards defining, designing, building and implementing digital campaigns across a variety of online and social media platforms to drive customer acquisition, engagement and retention. You must possess good attention to detail as you will be working to instructions detailed in a marketing brief. You will also possess good communication skills as you will be required to liaise with multiple stakeholders. This Apprentice will work alongside our marketing teams who are progressive, hands-on and customer obsessed. You will learn to be responsible for taking care of, and dealing with, marketing activities on digital platforms. As you develop your skills, knowledge and behaviors you will become an integral part of the team, delivering the highest quality of service to our customers both internal and external. As a Digital Marketing Apprentice, you will learn to schedule onsite campaigns and organize virtual events that drive traffic to our platform, while increasing repeat engagement. You will schedule and send email promotions to both new and experienced community members. Across the program you’ll gain a vast range of useful experiences and skills and will work towards the Level 3 Digital Marketing apprenticeship standard. You will build your skills over an 18-month period, starting in July, which will help you develop personally and professionally. Your apprenticeship will be made up of; • Classroom/virtual based training to cover knowledge • On-the-job training at your Amazon base location • Online learning • Mentoring from our experienced team members Alongside extensive development of your technical skills, you will also grow your abilities in crucial complementary areas like organization, prioritization, data and problem-solving techniques, teamwork, communication, presentation skills and document writing. You will work alongside the team, supporting with day to day tasks learning how Amazon works and delivers for its customers. As your knowledge and skills increase over the duration of the scheme you will have opportunities to be part of and lead projects, making a difference for customers. The on the job experience will help you build a portfolio of evidence towards your apprenticeship. You will be given dedicated time to focus on your studies to help you stay on track and work towards successfully completing your qualification(s). Once you have successfully completed your Digital Marketing Apprenticeship you will be able to apply for relevant roles across the business. You will attend a number of workshops across the duration of the apprenticeship, workshops will be a mix of face to face and online delivery by a training provider. You will also attend internal workshops/ trainings to support you in developing Amazon related skills and knowledge. Depending on the scheme and location of the training provider you may be required to travel and stay overnight. (costs will be supported by Amazon) Key job responsibilities You will be combining working in your assigned team as a Digital Marketing Apprentice whilst continuing your studies to achieve your qualification. As a working student your focus is to complete your studies in your 20% off the job time by learning and developing your skills, knowledge and behaviours to work towards successful graduation. You will be set objectives and goals by your training provider and manager to support your studies. To get to know you beyond your CV, the second stage of the process will be our online evaluations. You’ll complete 3 video questions to tell us more about you, your motivations and any transferrable skills you have. If you’re applying for a technology based apprenticeship you may also be asked to complete a short technical/coding test. As a last step, we will invite successful candidates to an assessment center where you’ll get the chance to meet the recruitment team and the hiring teams that align to the programme you have applied for. As part of the assessment centre, you may be expected to take part in a group exercise, a presentation, 1 to 1 interviews and other tasks relating to your chosen programme.
