Materials Controller Sheffield, England
Job description
Advanced Supply Chain Group are currently hiring for a Materials Controller to help us across the wider operations you will join us on a full-time permanent basis at our Sheffield site based in Chapeltown S35, and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £21,000.
Our Materials Controller will be responsible for keeping our stock in check across various levels and having full accountability for making sure our wider operations are equip with the stock they require to do the job to the best of their availability.
Key responsibilities of our Material Controller:
- Managing stock levels of consumables, uniforms, PPE’s and stationery by weekly stock counts and placing purchase orders when required
- Daily interaction with all colleagues from all levels across the business (verbal and written) as well as with external suppliers (verbal and written)
- Managing all queries and issues linked to consumables, uniforms and stationery (quality, quantity, deliveries) by dealing with suppliers directly and by engaging with group procurement team
- Ensure that deliveries are correctly received into WAP (site accountant system) and support the account team with any invoice queries
- Managing site booking sheet
- Maintaining the right level of empty pallets in the yard by keeping close engagement with operation and by arranging collections / deliveries when required
What we need from our Material Controller?
- Attention to detail
- Great numerical skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft package especially Excel
- Must be selfdriven and motivated
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Been able to work as an individual as well as a part of a team
