The Opportunity

This role is based at our Helicopter Division in Yeovil, Somerset. Working with the other Material Planning & Control staff and reporting to the Supply Chain Team Leader.
What you will do
- To support Supply Chain Manager and/or team leader for the commodity in executing the material deliveries from company sub-tier
- Co-ordinate and position products and services to meet specified program requirements in addition to ensuring the delivery of products and services to meet both company and customer expectations in line with industry best practice
- Regularly review the order book, addressing outstanding acknowledgements, forecast dates & order book alignment. Ensure forecasting accuracy and negotiate changes in line with SAP exception messages
- Understand the need and appropriate time to escalate and then support the commodity team leader within the company escalation process in cases of poor supplier performance and critical deliveries that consistently fail to meet LH requirements
- Ensure blocked invoices are managed and cleared within the agreed supplier payment terms as set by the contract
- Conduct and discharge activities either by yourself or within a team environment to meet the requirements of the customer whilst keeping up to date of developments within the company and communicating knowledge with colleagues and the wider business
- Maintain information and resources amassed as a consequence of activities undertaken. Ensure this is stored and easily accessible to authorised personnel when required
- Organise and manage supplier KPI reviews, including KPI presentations and recording actions arising. Findings to be presented to the management and wider team as required. This may also require you to arrange a regular supplier review and ensure all relevant personnel attend
- Raise and expedite concessions/production permits, prioritising with signatories as required. Understand and review of QN’s to ensure feed back to the supplier and liaise with all relevant parties to gain resolution
- Arrange and co-ordinate technical resolution meetings involving suppliers, LH Engineering and LH Design
- Work towards working capital targets through order book management
What we are looking for
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
- Excellent communication and relationship skills both within and externally to the company
- Possess influencing and negotiation skills to ensure delivery of outputs and product
- Computer literate with knowledge of SAP, Excel and Word
- Ability to review supplier adherence measurements.
- Ability to solve problems alone or through co-ordinating a team to find resolution
- Able and willing to travel within the UK or overseas as required
- Experience & knowledge of aerospace manufacturing techniques
- Knowledge of ISO / BSI 90001, 140001
- Good verbal & written communication skills.
