Material Planning Analyst
Position Title: Operational Material Planning Analyst
Duration: 12 Month Rolling Contract
Location: Whitley
Division: Purchasing
You will be working for our high profile client in the automotive industry
Position Description:
- To join the Material Planning team within the Global Customer Care division of the Client.
- The Global Parts Operations is responsible for the logistics part of the worldwide Customer Service business.
- This includes the strategy, planning, release, pricing, revenue generation and availability of service parts & accessories for the Global network.
- Within Parts Operations the Supply Team manages the Client suppliers to ensure availability of parts to the Client Retailer network.
- Key Performance Indicators Establish delivery confirmations (ETA) coverage for critical customer requirements against tight timescales, and communicate progress details throughout the business
- Establish delivery plans with suppliers to support customer product availability and backorder recovery
- Maintain and improve supplier performance
Skills Required:
- Experience working with external suppliers within a Supply Chain obtaining Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA's) for Goods / Products
- Ability to confidently communicate at all levels within the business and external suppliers to ensure optimum performance is achieved and maintained
- Ability to use appropriate questioning to establish root cause for failure to supply On Time In Full (OTIF)
Experience Required:
- Experience of the parts business and/or knowledge of the Client supply base with a broad understanding of the individual functions (and their interdependency) within the Parts Operation business
- Being able to forge excellent working relationships with internal partners, 3PL’s and external suppliers
- Ability to use appropriate questioning to establish root cause for failure to supply On Time In Full (OTIF)
- Ability to demonstrate/articulate steps taken to recover a failed delivery before appropriate escalation.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment.
- Well organised with a process orientated mind-set with great attention to detail and ability to manage priorities
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
Experience Preferred:
- Previous experience in a planning/procurement role within an Aftermarket or Manufacturing Facility
- A high level of analytical ability to support data driven decision making.
- Previous exposure and experience using SAP based planning tools for stock and supplier management
