Job description
We are hiring for a Material Planner to join our growing team in Portadown.
Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule parts and materials from a global supply chain to ensure all customer demand is satisfied in accordance with the required business delivery plan
- Effectively communicate planning schedules with assigned suppliers in line with agreed procedures
- Expedite purchase parts as and when required to support production
- Liaise with Quality department to ensure supplier rejections are promptly dealt with
- Manage inventory levels effectively in adherence with company policies
- Manage goods sent out for rework through agreed company process
- Maintain daily and weekly key performance indictors against assigned suppliers and MRP system
- Attend and report as necessary on assigned suppliers both internally and externally
- Issue regular forecasts and hold review meetings with suppliers to ensure alignment
- Carry out any other function necessary for the smooth running of the purchasing function
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures

Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience in a busy Material Planning role (or equivalent)
- Educated to GCSE Level, Grades A*-C, or equivalent (including Maths & English)
- Planning and Organising

- Commercial Awareness
- Results orientated and self-driven
- Adaptable to change
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable
- 3+ years’ experience of Material Planning in an Engineering or Aerospace company
- HND/ILM
- Third level qualification in a supply chain related discipline
