We have an exciting opportunity for a Material Planner/Production Data Analyst to join our company at our Midland, MI production facility.
The Raw Material Planner (RMP) responsibilities of this role include placing the raw material orders and maintaining an adequate supply of all the materials needed to produce our final product. This role also encompasses the Production Data Analyst (PDA) duties to ensure accurate inventories and to report production variances and maintain system master data such as BOMs and routings.

This role will be on-site at the Corteva location.
What You'll Do:
  • Adhere to EHS&S practices.
  • Manage the planning rules and lead-time data in SAP to control the generation of requisitions from the production plan.
  • Place orders and perform appropriate follow up using SAP to ensure that materials are available for production and meet production and quality requirements; initiate and participate in corrective action measures as needed.
  • Follow up with suppliers and internal plants as required to ensure receipt of orders and ability to meet planned delivery dates. Adjust planned delivery dates and inform Master Production Scheduler as necessary.
  • Monitor regularly that planned material availability meets production requirements and that corrective actions are taken when not.
  • Monitor data and feedback for the management of supplier performance and work with Purchasing to continuously improve vendor performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts and lead root cause corrective actions and ensure all affected processes, procedures and personnel and/or suppliers are appropriately updated.
  • Monitor cost variance and utility yield data in SAP at an appropriate frequency. Identify items that are exceeding the deviation tolerance as documented in the business rules and develop a plan to resolve root causes.
  • Perform a variety of data entry and record keeping activities.
  • Monitor and report variances and performance.
  • Maintain Bills of Materials and Routing Table data in SAP and determine appropriate changes. Perform SAP transactions to update data as required by business rules.
  • Responsible for metric tracking and monitoring.
  • Maintain inventory control and counts.
  • Provide long term forecast for suppliers & sourcing based on production plan.
  • Utilize systems such as Fiori in SAP/PE0.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with a variety of internal and external partners, such as production support team, inter-company schedulers, and vendors using systems.
  • Run inventory reports daily/weekly/monthly to ensure accuracy at location (where applicable), including package inventory and direct materials.
  • Lead annual inventory reconciliation process and external inventory audits.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Education:
  • You have your High School Diploma/GED.
What Skills You Need:
  • You are able to work both independently and in a team environment with limited supervision.
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills as well as good verbal and written communication skills.
  • You have good organization, prioritization and time-management skills.
  • You are good at trouble shooting, have logical problem-solving skills, and decision-making ability.
  • You are a self-starter with strong attention to detail.
  • You have experience and proven abilities in using computer systems and programs including (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • You are experienced and well versed in making transactions and entering information into SAP.
  • You are willing and able to work a primarily daytime schedule and work overtime hours including weekend work when required.
