About the Role
Serving on site staff with consumable items as required, logging individual and department details so items can be allocated correctly on SAP. Able to effectively present a high level of service to internal customers during daily interactions, providing support and assistance as a representative of the department.
Adds newly received product to stock ensuring computer system accurately reflects product information and location detail.
Responsible for checking received product and documentation conforms to quality specification referenced in the Purchase Order. Problem solving to clear non-conforming deliveries, ensuring new items are identified correctly with barcode labelling.
Performs production operation confirmations on either manual SAP entry or Apriso system as required to process reworked product into stock.
Raising Quality Notifications on SAP. Competent with own work-time management to maintain ownership of raised tasks, and effective communication – written & oral – to drive outstanding actions to closure with multi-department liaisons.
Required to use Counterbalance Forklift trucks up to 13 tonne capacity for loading / unloading of goods. Issuing Vehicle release notes to allow transport to leave site.
Responsible for packing and checking of materials leaving site ensuring appropriate documentation is in place. Issuing product on SAP once loaded to update inventory. Arranging transport for collections as required ensuring department / WBS (account) details are available for invoicing. Reviews transport invoices for accounts.
Performs cycle counting and shelf life cleansing as instructed and investigating / closing out stock discrepancies where required. Collates KPI information on a weekly basis for department metrics.
Uses Microsoft office in daily routine to update spreadsheets and monitors group / individual emails. Uses barcoding & Kanban system in daily activity.
Communicate effectively with internal customers to achieve tasks.
Required skills, qualifications and experience
- Logistics experience.
- Picking experience.
- 2-3 years commercial experience.
- Attention to detail.
- Working with computer systems. SAP experience ideal.
- Good written communication.
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Engineering, Defense or Aerospace background ideal.
