A great opportunity has arisen to join our small Market team.
We are looking for a hard-working individual to join our busy Markets team as a Market Operations Officer.
The role has focus on ensuring effective compliance with Council procedures and policies i.e. financial transactions etc. General office administration including purchasing goods and services. Processing Purchase orders, journals and administering payments to providers and customers. Raising debtor invoices and to collect income through appropriate debt management processes liaising with team members and Finance colleagues as appropriate.
Knowledge of the Integra finance system (or equivalent finance system) is preferable, but not mandatory.
The successful candidate would be expected to issue various market licences, and to take a pro-active approach to protecting the Councils market rights. Some knowledge of licensing is preferable but not mandatory.
The role also includes some event management.
You will need be a quick learner and be able to use your initiative to understand and manage varied information and enquiries.
This is a full-time permanent position (37 hrs per week).
The team is based at the Moor Market Management Suite in Sheffield City Centre.
