About the role:

As a Junior Project Manager and consultant, where you'll have the opportunity to share your own unique experience, knowledge, and ideas with a variety of teams and projects. Whether you're working internally or with our end clients, you'll have the chance to make a real impact and drive success.

In this role, you'll have the responsibility of managing day-to-day project tasks while gaining valuable experience in various management instances. You'll have the support of our experienced Project Managers at dig-x, ensuring you have all the tools you need to succeed.

You'll lead the project and ensure that project delivery is managed within agreed timescales, budget, and quality. We want you to showcase all your qualities and lead the project in the right direction, fluently and efficiently. With a team of experienced IT professionals by your side, you'll have all the support you need to make a real impact and take your career to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and support the project team to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Take appropriate action when team performance deviates from the expected standards
  • Support the end-to-end project lifecycle, from planning to implementation and evaluation
  • Liaise with and provide support to other project managers, engineers, and delivery team members
  • Work in a busy and fluid working environment to best meet project requirements
  • Responsible for strategic resource planning to meet work volumes and ensure the team meets project commitments

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Project Management, Business Administration, or Engineering
  • Up to 2 years of experience in a project management or related role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise workload accordingly
  • A willingness to learn and grow in the role.

Desirables:

  • Basic understanding of project management methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall
  • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project or Asana.
  • An understanding of Agile project management methodologies and the ability to work in an Agile environment.
  • A basic understanding of project management frameworks, such as PRINCE2 or PMBOK.
