Marketing Support Officer

Reports to: Marketing Manager

Salary: £23,108.60 per annum

Contract: Full time, permanent, 40 hours per week

The Marketing Support Officer will work closely with all members of the Marketing team, providing administrative support and taking responsibility for the production of impactful and timely on-sale campaigns, email and direct mail campaigns, digital comms, freesheets and inhouse print.

The Role

The Marketing Support Officer will work closely with all members of the Marketing team, providing administrative support and taking responsibility for the production of impactful and timely on-sale campaigns, email and direct mail campaigns, digital comms, freesheets and inhouse print.

Responsibilities

  • Develops audience communications to support shows ready for their announcement and on sale. This includes liaising with producers and creatives to collate artwork and assets.
  • Creates web pages for shows as part of the on-sale process.
  • Uses TRP’s CRM to collate data lists.
  • Works with and alongside all members of the Marketing Department on campaigns and wider projects as appropriate.
  • Send marketing emails using TRP’s email client ensuring that the design and function is consistent and on brand.
  • Supports the Marketing team by analysing campaigns and producing campaign result reports.
  • Keeps up to date with emerging audience development initiatives and proactively identifies areas for growth and engagement.
  • Books direct mailings with the distribution house.
  • Compiles Free Sheets and programmes – show production information for TRP’s productions and co-productions.
  • Works with the Marketing team on the production and print of the main Theatre Royal Plymouth brochures and What’s On guides, including internal department and external contact liaison, proofing and quality control. Compiles and organises the distribution, and data for What’s On guides and brochures.
  • Provides marketing support to other TRP departments in conjunction with other Marketing Officers.
  • Responsible for all print and display material within and around TRP, including the front of house digital screens, liaising with other departments that assist in this area.
  • Works with the team to uphold a high organisational standard of the Marketing archive.
  • Maintains and develops effective and successful relationships with show producers, TRP colleagues and suppliers to ensure high-quality representation of shows and events

  • At least one year’s experience in a Marketing role OR equivalent experience which demonstrates knowledge of creating engaging campaigns and communicating content to tell stories in compelling ways
  • Experience of developing results focussed content ideas in response to audience insight
  • Strong understanding of digital trends and the social media landscape
  • Experience of content management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to adapt to different audiences, channels, and purposes
  • Ability to work accurately and effectively under pressure
  • Able to demonstrate excellent organisational and proof-reading skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • A high standard of office IT competence and standard creative software and kit. Training will be provided where needed on TRP systems and services.
  • Knowledge of audience segmentation and communications content.
  • The ability to interact confidently with a wide variety of people including producers, managers, cast & crew and suppliers
  • Ability to generate a stream of creative ideas collaboratively with wider departments
  • Self disciplined, working well on your own initiative as well as experience of working well as part of a strong team
  • Flexible and enthusiastic working approach, willing and able to support the needs of the organization

  • Experience of developing creative campaigns that change and adapt based on the audience/genre/budget

  • Experience of content management systems.
