Job Description
Marketing Operations Manager
Fixed Term
We're Aegon. We're a company of ambitious, positive problem-solvers who get things done. We're a team, not a group of individuals. Collaboration is our life force and we believe it's our duty to leave things better than we find them.
We help people live their best lives. We help them with the big stuff, for the moments that matter: Pensions, Insurance, Savings, Investments.
We're seeking a Marketing Operations Manager to join our dynamic and entrepreneurial team within our pensions engagement and communications specialist business, Pension Geeks. We need someone who can take on challenges with a "Can-do" attitude, and always look for ways to improve processes and systems.
You'll manage our marketing projects/campaigns, oversee office communication, and keep our operations running smoothly. You should ideally have experience in the pensions/benefits and wellbeing arena.
As well as completing daily tasks, you'll be responsible for managing our Creative Writer, and liaising with directors, clients, suppliers, and internal teams. If you're ready for a challenge and want to be part of a broad role that involves every aspect of our business, we'd love to hear from you.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Knowledge of the pensions/reward and benefits industry, allowing you to hit the ground running.
- Experience in managing marketing projects and campaigns, with experience in writing effective marketing plans and analysing KPI metrics.
- Great people skills and have experience in managing and liaising with external clients.
- Confidence attending meetings, can easily generate meeting agendas and take accurate meeting notes.
- Ability to implement effective office processes and have experience in day-to-day office management, including maintaining filing systems and handling general administration.
It’d also be great – but not essential - if you’ve got:
- Excellent creative writing skills
- Knowledge and experience of social media platforms and staying up to date on the latest trends and best practices.
What’s in it for you?
- A competitive salary from £29,000 – £43,500, depending on the experience you can bring.
- A non-contributory pension between 8%-12%
- A discretionary bonus, depending on personal and company performance.
- 34 days leave per year (including bank holidays, pro-rated for part-time)
We know our staff have busy lives and commitments outside work, so we work flexibly where possible and have a hybrid approach to office working (typically 2 days in the office per week, 3 from home).
We also offer private medical cover, life assurance, critical illness cover, enhanced parental leave and a variety of lifestyle benefits to help our staff live their best lives, including retail discount vouchers, cycle2work scheme, subsidised restaurant and online GP appointments.
We ask everyone to be brave, raise their game, deliver first time, help others, and act in everyone’s best interests. If you recognise yourself in this, we’d love to hear from you.
Closing date: 5th June 2023
The legal bits
We’ll need you to confirm you have the right to work in the UK. If we offer you a job and you accept, there are some checks we need to complete before you can start with us. This will include a credit and criminal record check, as well as providing satisfactory references.
Equal Opportunity Employer:
We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their age, disability, race, religion/belief, gender, sexual orientation or gender identity.
