An exciting position has arisen for a Marketing Officer to join the team at The Point and The Berry Theatre, in Eastleigh.
Full time - 37 hours a week
Salary: £25,657
The role
As a Marketing Officer, you will deliver press and marketing campaigns, and
audience development activity to grow audiences at The Point & The Berry. You will be liaising with visiting professional companies and artists to plan, implement and collaborate on marketing campaigns both on and offline.
Based in the centre of Eastleigh, The Point is a regional powerhouse for contemporary dance, aerial and circus, theatre and combined arts. The Point has been one of Arts Council England’s National Portfolio Organisations since April 2015. The Point’s sister venue. The Berry Theatre in Hedge End presents a programme of theatre for families, comedy and film and is home to a busy Youth Theatre. Both venues are owned and managed by Eastleigh Borough Council.
About you
We are searching for someone with a “can-do” attitude and the ability to work well with others to develop and deliver campaigns, build great relationships and promote our events, activities and shows effectively.
The ideal candidate will have experience of creating and delivering engaging online and social media content, to bring to life the work of our theatres. You will have excellent communication skills, experience of using social media channels to grow an audience, and a strong creative streak to develop new ideas.
Experience in an arts marketing role would be beneficial, but not essential.
