Marketing Officer

The Post:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Marketing Officer to work with us on a temporary contract within our busy Marketing Services team. The job will involve working across the organisation and supporting a wide range of public health portfolios including screening and mental health. As Marketing Officer, you will:
- Provide dynamic, on the ground marketing support, expertise and input to design and deliver public health projects and initiatives.
- Support the team to plan, develop, deliver and evaluate marketing activity.
- Work with partners and stakeholders including NHS teams across Scotland, the third sector and Scottish Government to deliver high quality public health marketing activities including campaigns and content.
- Design and develop targeted social media plans/campaigns and create memorable and effective assets using online tools such as Canva.
- Quickly translate sometimes complex information into concise public health messages that citizens can easily engage-with through channels such as digital, video and print.
- Support the management of the marketing budget for campaign activity.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will have great marketing skills, be enthusiastic and motivated, highly organised, with excellent campaign, project management and people skills. They should have an eye for detail and be solutions-focused with effective communication skills.
Location and Working Pattern:
Job Location: Edinburgh or Glasgow.
Work pattern: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
Contract end date: 30 April 2024
PHS operates a hybrid working mode, with a mixture of working at home and days in the office each week.
During times of public health emergency, or other urgent business need, you may be required on a temporary basis to work your normal contracted working hours over 7 days including weekends, in order to meet the needs of the service.
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with PHS.
