Our client is a UK headquartered Telecommunication and Media software company of around 250 people.
Due to regular global face-to-face events coming back with a vengeance this year, they would like someone with a background in that area to take ownership of organizing their event schedule from an end-to-end perspective - arranging the booths, creating digital campaigns focused on generating meetings (B2B clients) and ultimately provide leads.
The Marketing Manager with a focus on events will be part of a team of 3 (the other members are a product marketing lead a digital marketing consultant).
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for marketing all assigned international events. S/he will work with the wider team to develop and execute marketing strategy on all assigned events, as well as work closely with the Product Marketing Director in the execution of various event marketing tasks including list building and research; email content development; paid and organic social media and digital promotions; direct prospect outreach; budget management; campaign reporting; as well as other daily tasks that may arise.
The Events Marketing Manager will interact with both internal and external clients and must have highly polished written and verbal communication skills, as well as impeccable organizational skills. S/he will work towards established deadlines for each event, and could be working on multiple events simultaneously. Must be a good multitasker.
Responsibilities:
Develop and adhere to event marketing plans and timelines in an effort to reach body and/or attendee revenue goals for assigned events.
Some direct outreach (via phone and/or email) to prospects may be required
Coordinate internal and external resources, including email deployment, designers, digital marketers, etc.
Attend events throughout the year to assist in onsite execution, including working registration, crowd management, or other needs as outlined by the operations team.
Coordinate website edits for assigned events.
Be responsible for accurate budget management for assigned events.
Qualifications:
4-6 years B2B marketing experience with increasing levels of responsibility; with some event marketing experience
Ambitious and proactive with a calm response to pressure.
Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills to meet strict deadlines
Highly detail oriented and a self-starter
Able to work efficiently independently as well as part of a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including writing, proofreading skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone, with high professionalism.
Strong record of customer service
A resourceful, creative problem solver
Easily adaptable to situations and changing event demands.
Ability to travel to events as needed
