Purpose of the post:
The Marketing Manager is a key senior role within the company with a brief to develop, deliver and evaluate the marketing, content, and communications strategy of AOC/Leicester Dance Theatre. The Marketing Manager also takes responsibility for creating and distributing content for Aakash Odedra Company’s digital platforms, print campaigns and growing our audiences by developing and improving our communication channels.
The marketing strategy is aligned to the company’s business strategy, ensuring it reflects the vision, mission and brand values underpinning the strategic aims of the company and supports its revenue and fundraising activities.
It must also incorporate company activity associated with Art Council England’s Investment Principles and Outcomes and evaluation requirements and how Leicester Dance Theatre (LDT) plays a vital role in bringing these ambitions to life in England and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy:
· To develop and deliver the audience development and marketing strategy, directly aligned to the company business plan and target audiences with clear marketing objectives, monitoring metrics and evaluation methods.
· To implement result-driven marketing plans for projects primarily, but not exclusively, touring performances aligned to the strategy with audience development and communications activity planned to ensure company activity is effectively marketed.
· To work with external PR agents when necessary to raise the profile of the company locally and nationally.
· To line-manage, mentor, develop and support the Marketing Assistant, and to manage any freelance contractors including quality checking and approval of all marketing, content, and communications activity.
· To ensure accurate and timely reporting of the key marketing metrics and results of campaigns against agreed targets, and to evaluate and interpret these results to shape future company and marketing activity.
· To effectively manage the marketing budget with Return on Investment built into budget planning.
Digital and Print:
· Work across the company to conceive and create engaging digital and print content including accurate and engaging copy, blog posts, graphics, photos, video, audio, marketing material, marketing packs, press releases, tour packs and live streaming for use on the company’s website, social media channels, and digital platforms and for distribution at events and performances to drive engagement and audience development.
· Manage the distribution of print collateral and materials as required.
· Schedule the company’s social media content across multiple channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Weibo, LinkedIn and TikTok.
· Deliver multiple simultaneous campaigns around touring productions and other programs.
· Create and publish regular newsletters on platforms such as Mailchimp to increase awareness of company activity and engagement.
· Update and maintain the Aakash Odedra Company websites with new content.
Evaluation
· Analyse and record data monthly from analytics platforms and social media insights, to assist with the completion of marketing evaluation tasks including analysing and reporting statistics.
· Collect data across all areas of the organization and collate, manage, and analyse data.
· Work with General Manager and Fundraising and development team to report to Arts Council England and other funders with evidence of the impact of funding.
General
· Oversee and contribute to reporting and evaluation requirements as required.
· Research bloggers, social media influencers and online groups to help promote the company and program.
· Protect and develop the LDT/AOC brand across digital platforms.
· Ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act, copyright legislation and General Data Protection Regulations and ensure all other data collection rules are adhered to.
· Maintain and improve existing systems for media storage and archiving.
· Ensure all digital content adheres with the company’s safeguarding policy.
· To undertake relevant training and keep up to date with developments and current trends in digital marketing and share across the company as appropriate.

You will be based in Leicester and will be there for the majority of the time.
